About Me
I am a qualified Professional Homeopath,Registered Nurse and Health Visitor. I undertook a Diploma in Homeopathy at the Yorkshire School of Homoeopathy qualifying in July 2000. After following a programme of reflective practice I became registered with the Society of Homeopaths.
I have a breadth of experience in teaching, including teaching and supervising student Homeopaths and organising and facilitating Introduction to Homeopathy courses. I regularly give talks on Homeopathy to a variety of groups in the community.
I have a busy Homeopathic practice and work from consulting rooms in Harrogate including Pannal GP Surgery. I visit people in their own homes if needed.
I work four days a week as a Professional Homeopath based in Harrogate and one day a week as a Health Visitor based in Knaresborough.
My interest in Homeopathy started when my eldest daughter had recurrent ear infections and glue ear when she was three years old. The doctor suggested an operation for the insertion of grommets. I felt that this wouldn't get to the route cause of the problem so explored Homeopathy as a means of cure rather than management. She had homeopathic treatment and no longer had problems with glue ear or ear infections. All three daughters have been brought up with Homeopathy and have had very little in the way of conventional medicine.
As a nurse I could see that many conditions are managed rather than cured, people are often treated in parts rather than as a whole. I feel it is important, vital even, to treat people holistically and individually.
I realised that it is important to get to the cause of disease (or dis-ease) in a gentle and safe way and found that Homeopathy really does work with the body to restore balance and helps people to stay in good health.
